Brown Caterpillar In Carpet

A reader bought a used couch recently and found some tiny brown worms or larvae in it.

Look for the carpet bug larvae. Don t ever skip looking for these as evidence of adults also indicates probable presence of larvae. Not only do they eat carpets they also eat furniture hair leather lint clothing blankets and food. I have found 3 in the past 3 days.

They have also been linked to the spread of some harmful diseases.
